Michaela is a Northern Virginia-based photographer who earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Rooted in fashion and portraiture, her work is deeply inspired by the world around her and the people within it. Coming from a family of creatives, she was raised to see the stories around her and chose photography as her medium.
Portraiture remains her first love, a space where she can honor the complexity and beauty of human stories. Whether capturing a fleeting moment of vulnerability or a bold expression of self, Michaela approaches her work with empathy and curiosity. Her documentary and fine art projects often center women, exploring themes of identity, strength, and emotional truth.
Through every image, Michaela seeks to create work that lingers, and photographs that not only reflect the subject’s spirit but invite the viewer to feel something real. To her, photography is a way of honoring people and their stories in all their raw, radiant depth.
